Are WatchChans able to run for a long period of time or do they need to be manually refreshed with a newer revision to avoid ErrCompacted?

e.g. I start a Watch at revision 100 and the kv store gets compacted at revision 200. Do I need to look out for ErrCompacted and start a new Watch with a revision after 200? Or does the Watcher do that under the hood?
