This issue will serve as a tracking page for the various breaking changes which will be included in a v5.0 release of Component Detection.

Changes will be merged into the https://github.com/microsoft/component-detection/tree/cobya/v5 branch which will be based on .NET 8 to avoid breaking changes on main if a hotfix is needed.
