OSPO Local Meetups in Chinese are held once a month in China. (I'll write the report step by step when I have time :-), thanks for @kuwatm san's example)
1st Meetup:《OSPO 10000 Miles Journey》 Nanjing, Hosted by ZTE, co-supported by LF APAC OSPO SIG and LF AI&DATA
1.Everyone expressed their willingness to actively cooperate with the work of OSPOlogy and strive to provide more assistance. They also invited guest speakers to share relevant insights.
2.Discussion at the OSPO Summit: How to unleash the maximum benefits of open source in organizations through OSPO, focusing on the topic of the value of open source.
3.The situation with AIGC (Artificial Intelligence and Generalized Computing) and large models: How will it impact open source? What consequences will it have for developers? This is a major concern for everyone.
4.Looking forward to the opportunity to engage in exchanges with Byte OSPO.
5.Although our current work may be replaced by the powerful capabilities of AIGC, we still have confidence that human emotions cannot be replaced by AI.
6.The development of large models will accelerate the progress of open source. It provides insights and inspiration regarding the ultimate transition of intellectual property to the public domain and the engineering advantages of AI replacing humans.
2nd Meetup: 《Tools For OSPO》 Leader Chris Yang @node, 10 people joined online

3rd Meetup: 《OSPO 10000 Miles Journey》 Shanghai, Hosted by Dentons Law Firm
We were triggered by a series of discussions on whether or not open source is actively litigating, with one side saying that without litigation, open source's infringement would be unstoppable; the other side arguing that open source is about moving forward for the sake of more universality and doing more good. Neither one of us was able to persuade the other, and so, abandoning the discourse on justice and morality, we thoroughly attempted to get into the calculations on the costs of open source.
Jiansheng Li reviewed the research results of various economists on open source over the past two decades, and shared the paths explored based on his own experience in advocating open source and the challenges he encountered, especially the possibilities of economic analysis brought by open source licenses, as well as the social and educational value of open source.
Since 2022, the number of domestic judicial cases involving open source software has gradually increased, and different value orientations have emerged in the courts on the legal application issues related to open source protocols. The purpose of Mr. Tao' presentation is to use the methodology of economic analysis to model and analyze the relevant behaviors of the market players through the game theory model, and to observe the economic effects behind the cases from a quantitative perspective. Mr. Tao is still very optimistic in predicting the possibility of open source.
As the Host of this event, Mr. Zhao shared an in-depth interpretation of the paper 'the value of open source', especially analyzing the calculation of the value of the open source code scattered in the world from the financial point of view, which was an eye-opening experience for everyone.
Dr. Deng, on the other hand, from the perspective of his specialty, gave us a popularization of legal economics, as well as the use of the ideas and methodology of legal economics to analyze how the current digitization can enhance China's open source capability, to explore the problems that may be faced in the development of China's open source eco-innovation and the related thoughts on solving the problems. The important role of intellectual property in it is particularly emphasized.
